Wild DII stats: A&M-Commerce scores 98, Tusculum allows -100 yards

While Arizona battled with UTSA and the Seattle Seahawks were copying pages from Auburn's play book, a pair of Division II teams set new records in blowout victories.

Texas A&M-Commerce set a Lone Star Conference record for points in a 98-20 win against East Texas Baptist. Tyrik Rollison, an Auburn signee out of high school two stops removed from the Tigers, threw for 562 yards and six touchdowns while former Texas running back Joe Bergeron added 134 yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries.

A&M-Commerce led 57-20 at half and scored its 98th point with 3:44 left in the game.

Meanwhile, in Greenville, Tenn., Tusculum set new single-game NCAA defensive records in a 71-0 win over College of Faith. The Pioneers allowed -100 total yards and -124 rushing yards, breaking records that had stood since 1989 (rushing yards) and 1993 (total yards).

It was a long day for College of Faith; the offense was also 0-of-13 on third down and the first, of three, safeties occurred just minutes into the game.
