Vince Young forced to sell possessions at auction

Former NFL quarterback Vince Young was thrown for a big loss this week.

According to reports, Houston-area authorities entered Young's home on Monday to inventory his possessions for an auction that will be held by court order to pay down $1.7 million owed to Pro Player Funding.

Young defaulted on a high-risk loan from Pro Player during the NFL lockout in 2011. He claims he was duped by former financial adviser Ronnie Peoples to take out the loan, but a court ruled against Young and he has been fighting the case.

The court judgment does permit Young to maintain $60,000 of his personal belongings.

Young was the third overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft out of Texas and signed a guaranteed contract worth $26 million with the Tennessee Titans. But he never lived up to expectations, spending five seasons with the Titans and one season with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011.
