This is probably a bad idea.

USC opens its season against defending national champion Alabama on Sept. 3 in Arlington, Texas. Apparently the folks back on campus in Los Angeles are confident about the Trojans’ ability to pull off the upset. Check out these shirts on sale at USC’s Bookstore:

According to ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura, the shirts are on-sale in person as well as online. The “Roll Tears Roll” is obviously a play on Alabama’s famous “Roll Tide Roll” rally cry.

This is nothing new for Alabama and its fans. Perhaps most notably, Oregon students sold “We Want Bama” t-shirts in 2013 in anticipation of a national title game matchup with the Tide. Things didn’t quite work out as the Ducks were upset to Stanford.

Other Alabama-themed t-shirts have emerged from other schools, too. It usually doesn’t end too well.

Good luck, Trojans.
