UNLV forward Mike Moser
, a unanimous all-conference selection last season, dislocated his elbow in the first half of Sunday's 76-75 victory over California in Berkeley and could be lost for the season, Rebels coach Dave Rice told CBSSports.com.
"It's not good," Rice told CBSSports.com. "Just unlucky."
Moser did not comment after leaving the locker room following the game, which the No. 21-ranked Rebels won on Quintrell Thomas
' basket with 1.2 seconds left.
Rice said Moser will see a specialist as soon as possible, so a more precise diagnosis can be made.
Rice said a best-case scenario would have Moser sidelined only three weeks. The worst-case scenario would have Moser missing the rest of the season.
The 6-foot-8 Moser averaged 14.0 points and 10.5 rebounds last season and is averaging 10.9 points and 8.3 rebounds this season after being limited to two points and three rebounds in just five minutes of action on Sunday.
He was injured when he crashed to the floor during a scramble for a loose ball.
Moser is rated No. 6 in CBSSports.com's preseason list of the top 100 college basketball players in the country.
