Twins put Mauer on concussion DL

Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer experienced dizziness before Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Tigers and was scratched from the lineup and placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list.

The Twins said Mauer exhibited concussion-like symptoms during batting practice. One night earlier, Several foul balls had bounced off Mauer's mas during a game against the Tigers.

The 30-year-old Mauer is batting .324 with 11 home runs, 47 RBIs and 62 runs in 113 games this season.

The Twins recalled Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester to fill the roster spot.
