It's Trevor Daley time!

Tuesday's Hockey Dose covers several subjects, including the new-look Penguins trading for Trevor Daley

It seems that more and more teams are going to a four forward, one defenseman power play. That really takes away value for some third and fourth defensemen on teams as their power play time is limited at best.

It used to be that teams played three forwards up front with two defensemen on the point but that has changed over the last few years as most teams are adopting a 1-3-1 system where most of the plays start at the side boards with one forward eventually moving back close to the point.

It would not surprise me to find that shorthanded goals will go up as there could only be one forward back when the shorthanded team steals the puck.

It should be no surprise that Sidney Crosby, Wayne Simmonds and Corey Perry are atop the power play goal scoring list with three goals but the surprise is that defenseman Trevor Daley of the Dallas Stars is right there with them.
