Towson 67, Oregon State 66 (OT)

Junior forward Jerrelle Benimon delivered another monster effort and Marcus Damas scored with one second remaining in overtime, lifting Towson to a dramatic 67-66 victory Saturday at Gill Coliseum.

Benimon posted 20 points and a career-high 21 rebounds, recording his eighth double-double of the season for the Tigers (5-8). Damas added 16 points, including the game-winning jump shot.

Sophomore forward Eric Moreland posted 16 points, 18 rebounds and six blocked shots for the Beavers (9-3), who lost at home for the first time this season.

Oregon State controlled the first half and led 36-23 at the break after Devon Collier made a layup with five seconds remaining. The Beavers stretched their lead to 19 when Joe Burton scored to put them up 44-25 with 16:08 to play in the second half, but Towson mounted an 18-5 run over the next eight minutes to get back into the game.

Benimon's layup cut Oregon State's lead to two with 2:17 to go and Bilal Dixon tied the game with a layup 61 seconds later. The game went into overtime after the Beavers missed two layups in the final five seconds of regulation.
