Tony Romo still working on footwork

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said quarterback Tony Romo, who has completed only one pass longer than 20 yards, is still working on his footwork following December back surgery.

"Probably this idea of turning on the run, getting the rust off, has to do with the footwork," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan. "Anybody that's played golf, anybody that's been around guys in their hitting slumps, if you want to refer to baseball, knows that footwork all works together there. I think that's what you're seeing."

Some of Romo's passes have lacked velocity, though he made some big throws in Sunday's win at Tennessee. Among them, Romo hit Dez Bryant for 18 yards on 3rd-and-15.
