The Saves Index
The Saves Index is a ranking of the top 50 relievers, based solely on their potential to earn saves from the present through the remainder of the season. In a case where two relievers have similar saves potential, the additional standard roto categories will be used to differentiate them.

ATL |

CIN | Hamstring soreness was an issue over the weekend, leading to a rogue save from Broxton.
3. Koji Uehara | BOS |
| |
4. Greg Holland | KAN |
| |
LAD |
| ||
6. Joakim Soria | TEX | Potential trade chip for Texas, which could open the door for Feliz.
SDG | Finally blew a save chance on Saturday, but it was his first of the season. There's trade risk here, but we say it with Street every year.
WAS |
| ||
OAK | Doolittle has allowed 6 ERs over his last five appearances, but the Ks are still piling up, and the WHIP remains 0.69.
10. David Robertson | NYY |
| |
11. Steve Cishek | MIA |
| |
MIL |
| ||
13. Glen Perkins | MIN | He's given up runs in three of his last six outings, but the most recent appearances have been trouble-free.
14. Casey Janssen | TOR |
| |
15. Fernando Rodney | SEA |
| |
16. Trevor Rosenthal | STL | Things had been going so well, but Rosenthal was mauled over the weekend (1.1 IP, 5 H, 4 ER, 2 Ks). Not at obvious risk, but it would be nice to see a clean inning.
PHI |

18. Zach Britton | BAL | Appreciate the SP-eligibility. Thanks, Baltimore.
19. Addison Reed | ARI | Reed required a vote of confidence from his manager last week; shaky option, but he converted a save chance on Sunday.
20. LaTroy Hawkins | COL |
| |
21. Chad Qualls | HOU |
| |
22. Cody Allen | CLE |
| |
23. Mark Melancon | PIT |
| |
24. Joe Smith | LAA |
| |
25. Santiago Casilla | SFO | Bruce Bochy made it official, naming Casilla his closer. Sergio Romo is still scuffling, so he's not an immediate threat.
26. Jake McGee | TAM | Rays are still running a committee, but McGee has the last two saves, plus he has the best stuff. He's the guy to own.
27. Hector Rondon | CHC |
| |
28. Jenrry Mejia | NYM | Feels like it's been forever since the Mets created a save opportunity.
29. Jake Petricka | CHW | The White Sox don't have an official closer, but Petricka earned Sunday's save, and he's pitched well in recent weeks.
30. Joe Nathan | DET | This team has an urgent, obvious need for bullpen help. You have to assume the Tigers will be buying a closer soon.
31. Joba Chamberlain | DET |
| |
32. Brad Ziegler | ARI | Ziggy has been much, much better than Reed. Needs to be rostered in any deep-ish competitive league.
33. Jonathan Broxton | CIN |
| |
48. A.J. Burnett | PHI |
| |
35. Joel Peralta | TAM |
| |
36. Neil Ramirez | CHC |
| |
37. Danny Farquhar | SEA |
| |
38. Dellin Betances | NYY |
| |
39. Wade Davis | KAN |
| |
40. Grant Balfour | TAM |
| |
41. Junichi Tazawa | BOS |
| |
42. Pat Neshek | STL | Neshek is a first-time all-star, at age 33. Nicely done, sir.
43. Bryan Shaw | CLE |
| |
44. Drew Storen | WAS |
| |
45. Tyler Clippard | WAS |
| |
46. Neftali Feliz | TEX |
| |
47. Joaquin Benoit | SDG | Like Street, Benoit could be a trade chip for the Pads. His former employer should be interested.
48. A.J. Burnett | PHI |
| |
49. Zach Putnam | CHW |
| |
50. Sergio Romo | SFO |
