Since there isn’t a lot of news coming out from the NHL during the three day Christmas break, I thought I would give you the team leaders in a bunch of categories, including hits, blocks and face offs (we have a weekly column on these stats in Season Pass) as well as shots on goal. I have also included the traditional categories, goals, assists, plus/minus and penalty minutes.

It looked very serious when Jannik Hansen collapsed on the bench December 20 but so far so good as all the tests thus far have returned as normal. He sat out Monday’s tilt as the Canucks still want to do some extra testing to be sure. Coach Barry Trotz made Tom Wilson a healthy scratch on Tuesday as he thought that Wilson’s game was ‘falling off’. Look for Wilson to return on December 27 with a bang. Justin Peters has not started a game since November 29 as Trotz has been going with Braden Holtby. Aaron Volpatti completed a conditioning stint in the minors but was recalled and put on the injured reserve list for his neck injury again.
