Several 18-year-olds make NHL rosters

At least three 18-year-old players - Mikhail Grigorenko of Buffalo, Mike Dumba of Minnesota and Alex Galchenyuk of Montreal - will be on the rosters of NHL teams for their season-opening games.

How long they will remain on NHL rosters remains to be seen.

"I'm real happy that I'm on an NHL team now," Grigorenko told the Buffalo News. "I'm really excited and hopefully and I'm going to be playing."

According to the report, Grigorenko, a center, is likely to see ice time when the Sabres open against Philadelphia on Sunday.

Dumba, a defenseman who was the seventh overall pick of the 2012 drafft, is sticking with the Wild, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. He could make his debut on Saturday when the Wild host the Colorado Avalanche.

"It's pretty crazy," Dumba said, according to the Pioneer Press. "It's an awesome feeling to be here right now."

Galchenyuk, a forward, was the third overall pick in the recent draft. He had 61 points in 33 games for OHL Sarnia this season.
