Senators G Anderson has stiff neck after collision

Ottawa Senators goalie Craig Anderson was taken off the ice on a stretcher during overtime of Sunday's game against the Dallas Stars. However, his injury does not appear to be as serious as initially feared.

Anderson was up and walking around after the game, according to Sportsnet, and the Ottawa Sun reported Anderson has a stiff neck.

Senators head coach Paul MacLean said he expects Anderson to miss Tuesday's game, according to the Sun, but it's uncertain whether he will be sidelined beyond that.

Anderson collided with Stars rookie forward Valeri Nichushkin with 3:16 left in the overtime. Anderson stayed down on the ice and was motionless but awake.

Trainers immobilized Anderson, who gave a thumbs-up sign as he was taken off on a stretcher.
