Saints Shocked by Falcons, 30-14

The Saints were held in check by the Falcons, 30-14, at home.

Drew Brees had a solid day going 30 for 47 with 313 yards passing, one touchdown, two picks and one fumble. For the Falcons, Matt Ryan wound up 30 for 40 with 322 yards passing, one touchdown and no interceptions.

Mark Ingram ran for 38 yards on 13 carries with a score in addition to three receptions for 17 yards. Jimmy Graham caught six balls for 53 yards with a score and one fumble.

The New Orleans defense managed to contain the running game, but could not slow down the passing attack, allowing 81 yards rushing and 322 passing.

Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones had a big game, putting up 107 receiving yards. Running back Devonta Freeman also put together a noteworthy performance with 48 receiving yards, 36 rushing and one touchdown.

The Saints head to Tampa next week to face the Buccaneers (2-13) while the Falcons host the Panthers (6-8).
