New Orleans Saints linebacker Martez Wilson is expected to be sidelined 2-4 weeks as the result of an elbow injury suffered on Monday, the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported.
Wilson was injured while attempting to make a tackle during practice.
Wilson had three sacks while playing in 15 games last year, although he did not start any of them. He has become a more significant player since Victor Butler was lost for the season with a torn anterior-cruciate ligament suffered during Organized Team Activities.
The prognosis suggests Wilson will be back before the start of the regular season.
