Ronda Rousey Set to Star in Film Based on Her Autobiography

Ronda Rousey‘s star power just keeps getting stronger.

Following her destruction of Bethe Correia at UFC 190, Rousey is set to star in a film based on her autobiography, “My Fight/Your Fight,” according to a report on Monday.

Variety broke the news and revealed Rousey will not only star in the film, but also be one of the producers. A timeline for the film's release date was not revealed.

Paramount Pictures secured the rights to Rousey's book, which became a New York Times bestseller after being published earlier this year.

The UFC women's bantamweight champion is no stranger to onscreen appearances, having done roles in “Expendables 3,” Fast and Furious 7,” and most recently, “Entourage.” She is currently scheduled to appear in “Mile 22″ alongside Mark Wahlberg next year.

Rousey's popularity became wildly apparent last week leading into last Saturday's pay-per-view. Media outlets of all kinds covered the fight, which saw Rousey finish Correia in just 34 seconds. The win was Rousey's fourth consecutive first-round finish.

For her next appearance in the Octagon, Rousey will face Miesha Tate for a third time. The bout will likely land in AT&T Stadium in Texas, and pair with a UFC featherweight title fight between champion Jose Aldo and interim champ Conor McGregor.
