Reports: Seahawks' Bradley gets second interview with Eagles

The SportsXchange

Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley will get a second interview with the Eagles on Tuesday, possibly making him the front-runner for Philadelphia's vacant head-coaching position.

Bradley would be the first of the 11 coaches the Eagles have interviewed to come back for a second round of talks, according to multiple media reports. However, Bradley could be leaving his options open, as he also is scheduled to interview with the Jacksonville Jaguars this week.

Former Arizona Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt interviewed with the Eagles on Monday morning for the head-coaching vacancy that was created when Andy Reid was fired Dec. 31. Later Monday, the Eagles met with Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Jay Gruden.

During the two-week search, the Eagles have interviewed at least 11 candidates for the position, including Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly, Oregon coach Chip Kelly and Penn State coach Bill O'Brien, all of whom decided to remain with their college teams. Former Baltimore Ravens coach Brian Billick, former Chicago Bears coach Lovie Smith, Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Mike Nolan, Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong and Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy are the other known candidates.

The Eagles also received permission to interview Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians, but the meeting has yet to be scheduled, according to multiple reports.

Bradley has been the Seahawks' defensive coordinator since 2009. Seattle allowed a league-low 15.3 points per game this season.
