Report: Robinson to be named Sharks assistant

New Jersey Devils assistant coach Larry Robinson will be named an associate coach with the San Jose Sharks on Monday, the Montreal Gazette reported Sunday.

Robinson would be the second assistant coach to leave New Jersey in less than two weeks. Adam Oates was named coach of the Washington Capitals on June 26.

Robinson, 61, has had four stints with the Devils as either head coach or assistant coach since 1999. He was also head coach of the Los Angeles Kings from 1995 to 1999.

Robinson was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a player.
