Report: Oswalt to go on DL

Colorado Rockies right-hander Roy Oswalt is expected to be placed on the disabled list Monday, according to the Denver Post.

Oswalt left Sunday's start against the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second inning with a hamstring injury. He was injured while covering home after throwing a wild pitch.

The Rockies will likely add a relief pitcher or outfielder to take Oswalt's spot on the roster. Outfielder Carlos Gonzalez is day-to-day with an injured finger on his right hand after fouling off a pitch. The Rockies could use bench help.

Oswalt has allowed 15 runs in 17 2/3 innings over four starts for the Rockies this season. He signed a minor league deal with the club on May 2. He is 0-3 with a 7.88 ERA since making his season debut June 20.
