Report: Dodgers SS Ramirez to go on DL

The Los Angeles Dodgers will place shortstop Hanley Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring injury, CBS Sports reported Saturday.

Shortstop Dee Gordon is expected to be recalled from Class AAA Albuquerque.

Ramirez was injured attempting to go from first base to third base on an A.J. Ellis single to right field in the sixth inning of Friday night's 2-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.

He grabbed the back of his left leg in pain after sliding into third and had to be helped off the field. He was out on the play.

It was just Ramirez's fourth game back since starting the season on the disabled list with a thumb injury. Ramirez is 5-for-11 with two doubles and a home run.

Gordon is hitting .314 with a .397 on-base percentage with 14 stolen bases in 25 games for Albuquerque.

Also, second baseman Mark Ellis could go on the DL with a quad injury. He has not played in a week. First baseman Adrian Gonzalez was held out of Friday's game with a neck injury but his playing status for Saturday is uncertain.
