Report: Colon hit in mouth by line drive
Pitcher Bartolo Colon was taken to the hospital on Sunday after he was hit in the mouth by a line drive while pitching in the Dominican Republic, Carlos Almanzar of ESPN Radio in Santo Domingo reported.
Colon pitched for the A's this season, but was suspended after a positive test for performance-enhancing drugs.
He will become a free agent after the World Series.
Colon was making his second start for Aguilas Cibaenas on Sunday. He allowed three runs in five innings his first outing.
