Redskins OL Williams pays for shove with fine

The NFL fined Washington Redskins offensive lineman Trent Williams on Friday for making contact with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman after Sunday's NFC wild-card playoff game.

Williams was fined $7,875 for shoving Sherman with an open hand in the face. After the game, Williams apologized for his actions.

Not only did Williams lose money in the incident, his team lost the game, 24-14, and bowed out of the postseason.

Sherman, whose Seahawks play Atlanta on Sunday in the next round of the playoffs, was not fined.
