Redskins' Griffin selected Rookie of the Week

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III has been selected by fans as the Pepsi Max NFL Rookie of the Week and FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week for Week 1, the the NFL announced Friday.

Griffin, 22, dominated in leading the 'Skins to a 40-32 road win over the New Orleans Saints, in his first career NFL start. He completed 19 of 26 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns, with no interceptions. He also became the first player in league history to throw for 300-plus yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in an NFL debut.
