Put me in coach: Danny Amendola says he's ready to play

New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola declared Friday that he's " rel="nofollow"feeling good and ready to go," Sunday against the Miami Dolphins two weeks after suffering a concussion against the New Orleans Saints.

Amendola didn't say he would definitely play, but told New England reporters, via ESPN Boston, he's passed the NFL concussion testing protocol. Amendola is also dealing with a nagging groin injury.

"I've done pretty much everything they've asked me to do. I'm healthy and I'm ready to play," Amendola told reporters. "I'm sure it's the same thing if you get [in] a car accident. It's all independent doctors. The NFL does a great job of helping guys out with that sort of thing. It's been a big deal in the past three years; you just have to go through [the process] and listen to what they're telling you."
