Phillies shut down Kendrick
Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Kyle Kendrick will not pitch again this season, the Wilmington (Del.) News Journal reported Friday.
Kendrick has been bothered by tendinitis in his shoulder and has not pitched for a week. In his last start, he allowed six runs in 4 1/3 innings against the Nationals.
For the season, Kendrick is 10-13 with a 4.70 ERA.
Zach Miner, who filled in for Kendrick on Wednesday, will take Kendrick's place in the rotation for the rest of the season.
