Penn State can begin making settlement offers to Sandusky victims

A committee of Penn State trustees gave university's mediators authority to begin making settlement offers to victims of Jerry Sandusky's sexual abuse, the Harrisburg Patriot-News reported.

Michael Rozen, a key member of the firm that's leading the discussions on behalf of the university, told the paper he and partner Ken Feinberg now can approach plaintiffs with monetary offers that have board approval.

Rozen said discussions with some plaintiffs have already begun, and he hopes to have offers made to all 30 over the next several weeks.
