Nuggets F Farried has ankle sprain

The Denver Nuggets announced Monday that an MRI on injured forward Kenneth Faried revealed a sprained left ankle.

There was some concern that Faried may have fractured the ankle.

Faried will miss the final two games of the regular season and then be considered day-to-day as the Nuggets prepare for the playoffs.

Faried finishes the regular season averaging 11.5 points and a team-best 9.2 rebounds per game.

Denver is at the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday night and then wraps up the regular season Wednesday against the visiting Phoenix Suns.
