Dec 4 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of National Hockey League games on Friday: - - - - Flames 5, Bruins 4 (OT) Left winger Johnny Gaudreau scored his third goal with 1:40 remaining in overtime to give the Calgary Flames a 5-4 win over the Boston Bruins. Flames left winger Jiri Hudler had tied the game during a scramble with 1.2 seconds remaining in regulation, just over a minute after center Brad Marchand scored his second goal from a penalty shot with 1:06 remaining to give the Bruins a 4-3 lead. Mark Giordano and Jiri Hundler also scored for Calgary. Zdeno Chara and left winger Matt Beleskey also scored for the Bruins. - - Flyers 4, Devils 3 (OT) Matt Read's goal with 1:36 left in overtime gave the Philadelphia Flyers a 4-3 win over the New Jersey Devils. Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Wayne Simmonds and center Claude Giroux also scored for Philadelphia while Jakub Voracek finished with two assists and goaltender Michal Neuvirth made 15 saves. Stefan Matteau, Kyle Palmieri and Mike Cammalleri replied for New Jersey. Devils goalie Cory Schneider stopped 21 of 25 shots. - - Sabres 5, Coyotes 2 Left winger Evander Kane scored two goals to lead the Buffalo Sabres to a 5-2 win over the Arizona Coyotes. Center Sam Reinhart, left winger Jamie McGinn and left winger Marcus Foligno also scored for the Sabres, while goalie Chad Johnson made 18 saves. Left winger Max Domi scored twice for the Coyotes. - - Panthers 2, Blue Jackets 1 (SO) Center Aleksander Barkov scored in the fourth round of a shootout to lead the Florida Panthers to a 2-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets. Florida left winger Jonathan Huberdeau had scored in the third round of the shootout to keep the game alive. Vincent Trocheck scored his eighth goal of the season for Florida in regulation, while back-up goaltender Al Montoya, giving starter Roberto Luongo a breather, finished with 22 saves. Michael Chaput scored for the Blue Jackets. - - Islanders 2, Blues 1 (SO) Center Frans Nielsen and right winger Kyle Okposo scored in the shootout as the New York Islanders edged the St. Louis Blues. Nielsen and Okposo scored for the Islanders in the shootout as New York goalie Thomas Greiss saved attempts by Blues defenseman Kevin Shattenkirk and winger Vladimir Tarasenko. Center Mikhail Grabovski scored in regulation for the Islanders, while Shattenkirk had opened the scoring late in the first period. - - Oilers 2, Stars 1 (OT) Jordan Eberle scored 45 seconds into overtime to give the Edmonton Oilers a 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars. The win came in large part to the efforts of goaltender Anders Nilsson, who made 42 saves as the Oilers were outshot by almost a two to one margin. The Stars could not get anything past Nilsson until center Mattias Jankmark scored from close range at 18:23 in the second period to make it 1-1. Taylor Hall had scored for Edmonton in the first period. - - Ducks 1, Sharks 0 Left winger Mike Santorelli scored early in the third period to give the Anaheim Ducks a 1-0 victory over the San Jose Sharks. Goalie John Gibson made 23 saves for his second shutout in three games as the Ducks (10-12-5) gave the Sharks (14-11-0) their third loss in four games. Santorelli scored his fourth goal of the season 2:49 into the final period. Center Nate Thompson secured the puck behind the net and passed to Santorelli, who dragged a wrist shot from the right circle inside the right post. (Editing by Julian Linden)
