NBA roundup: Pacers' Granger out three weeks
Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger will miss approximately three weeks with a strained left calf.
The timetable for recovery is a precautionary measure as the team wants to make sure Granger is fully healthy after he missed all but five games last season with a knee injury.
Granger was injured during the Oct. 16 preseason loss to the Dallas Mavericks. He has not practiced since then.
Coach Frank Vogel has said there is no correlation between the knee and calf injuries.
---The Houston Rockets reduced their roster to 15 players by waiving veteran center Marcus Camby and guard Reggie Williams.
That probably will mark the end of Camby's playing career as he has been unable to make a satisfactory recovery from torn plantar fascia tissue. However, he may remain with the Rockets in a coaching or player development role, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Camby, 39, is likely to have foot surgery to repair the damage.
---The Philadelphia 76ers signed rookie free agent forward Brandon Davies, the team announced.
Davies played five preseason games for the Clippers and in the Las Vegas Summer League.
---Memphis Grizzlies forward Ed Davis was fined $15,000 for making excessive and unnecessary contact with Houston Rockets forward Donatas Motiejunas, the NBA announced.
Davis was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected for the incident.
---The Washington Wizards did not keep guards Shannon Brown, Malcolm Lee and Kendall Marshall long.
All three were acquired on Friday along with center Marcin Gortat in a trade with Phoenix that sent Emeka Okafor and a 2014 protected first-round draft pick to the Suns.
But on Monday, the Wizards waived Brown, Lee and Marshall.
