(Adds later games) Dec 27 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Friday's National Basketball Association games. - - Kings 108, Heat 103 (OT) Forward Rudy Gay and center DeMarcus Cousins helped the Sacramento Kings end a half-decade of frustration against the Miami Heat while proving forward LeBron James and the defending NBA champions are not invincible against the Western Conference. Cousins scored 25 points, Gay had 24 points and helped shut down James, the four-time league MVP, with smothering second-half defense as the Kings snapped a 10-game losing streak against the Heat with an overtime victory at Sleep Train Arena. Guard Isaiah Thomas added 20 points and 11 assists as Sacramento beat the Heat for the first time since March 2, 2008. The victory also ended Miami's 19-game winning streak against Western Conference teams, the second-longest streak by an Eastern Conference team in NBA history. - - Magic 109, Pistons 92 Arron Afflalo scored 23 points and Nik Vucevic and rookie Victor Oladipo had double-doubles to help the Orlando Magic coast to victory over the Detroit Pistons. Vucevic had 20 points and 11 rebounds while Oladipo added 16 points and 11 assists as Orlando ended a three-game losing streak. Tobias Harris scored 16 points and Glen Davis 14 for the Magic against the defenseless Pistons, who allowed Orlando to shoot 52.9 percent from the field. The Pistons got 21 points and eight rebounds from point guard Brandon Jennings and 18 points from his backup, Will Bynum, but precious little from anyone else. - - Thunder 89, Bobcats 85 Forward Kevin Durant scored 34 points, including 10 in the final six minutes, as the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Charlotte Bobcats in their first game without injured guard Russell Westbrook. The Thunder led by as many as 13 in the second half but ultimately had to hold on when Charlotte's Josh McRoberts missed an open three-point attempt with five seconds remaining and the Thunder leading 87-85. Oklahoma City's Thabo Sefolosha then hit two free throws with 3.5 seconds left to push the final margin to 89-85. The win moved the Thunder to 24-5 and was their 19th in their last 21 games. It was also their seventh straight road win, a record in the team's Oklahoma City era. - - Nets 104, Bucks 93 Guard Shawn Livingston scored a game-high 20 points and the Brooklyn Nets buried 12 three-pointers en route to a win over the Milwaukee Bucks to snap a four-game losing streak at the Barclays Center. Forward Mirza Teletovic scored a career-high 19 points, including 5-of-9 from three-point range, while also grabbing six rebounds for Brooklyn, which led by as many as 23 in the fourth quarter. Guard Paul Pierce had 13 points, forward Kevin Garnett had 10 points and five rebounds and guard Jason Terry scored nine of his 12 points off the bench in the third quarter to give Brooklyn a 76-60 lead entering the fourth quarter. - - Raptors 95, Knicks 83 The Toronto Raptors won the first game of a home-and-home with the New York Knicks, using a fourth-quarter run to secure victory at Madison Square Garden. The two teams square off Saturday in Toronto. Shooting guard DeMar DeRozan led five Toronto players who scored in double figures with 25 points. Center Jonas Valancinuas had 16 points and a career-high 18 rebounds while point guard Kyle Lowry added 15 points and 11 assists. The loss dropped New York (9-20) four games behind first-place Toronto (12-15) in the Atlantic Division. - - Timberwolves 120, Wizards 98 Forward Kevin Love posted his NBA-leading 26th double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves topped the Washington Wizards at the Target Center. Love scored 11 straight points in the first quarter to help the Wolves erase an early 9-0 deficit and ultimately avoid their second three-game losing streak of the season while winning their third consecutive home game. Timberwolves center Nikola Pekovic also had a double-double for Minnesota with 18 points and 10 rebounds, his 14th of the season. Guard Ricky Rubio narrowly missed his second triple-double with 11 points, nine assists and eight rebounds. Guard John Wall led Washington with 26 points, 22 of which came in the first half. Guard Bradley Beal added 14, center Nene scored 13, guard Martell Webster chipped in 11. - - Pelicans 105, Nuggets 89 Reserve guard Tyreke Evans scored 19 points, point guard Jrue Holiday added 17 points and eight assists and forward Anthony Davis overcame early foul trouble to hit a pair of critical layups in the final three minutes to lift the New Orleans Pelicans to victory over the Denver Nuggets. The Pelicans (13-14) placed six players in double figures. In addition to Evans and Holiday, Davis scored 17, forward Ryan Anderson 16 and forwards Al-Farouq Aminu and Darius Miller 11 each at the New Orleans Arena. The Nuggets (14-14), who lost their fifth consecutive game, were led by forward Wilson Chandler's game-high 22 points. The Pelicans led 93-87 with 2:53 left, but Davis made back-to-back lay-ups on exceptional feeds from Holiday to ice the game. - - Jazz 105, Lakers 103 Center Derrick Favors made the winning putback dunk with 2.1 seconds remaining to give the Utah Jazz a narrow victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at EnergySolutions Arena. Lakers guard Jodie Meeks' attempt from three-point territory was well short at the buzzer as short-handed Los Angeles (13-17) dropped its fourth game in a row. Shooting guard Gordon Hayward led all scorers with 24 points to lift the Jazz (9-23) to a win in their first home game after a five-game road trip. Guard Nick Young led the Lakers with 21 points, but he did not play the last half of the fourth quarter after fouling out. - - Warriors 115, Suns 86 Point guard Stephen Curry recorded career-highs in rebounds and assists as part of his third NBA triple-double, highlighting the Golden State Warriors' shellacking of the Phoenix Suns. Despite hitting only five of his 17 shots, including just one of six from three-point range, Curry accumulated 13 rebounds and 16 assists to go with 14 points. The fifth-year veteran's previous career-best for rebounds in a game had been 11, which he had accomplished twice, including earlier this season against Oklahoma City.
