Today's NASCAR Number is this week's daily double:

2: The number of July 7 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Daytona International Speedway that have been won by a driver named Earnhardt. In 1990, two years after the summer race at Daytona moved from a hard date of July 4 to the closest Saturday to Independence Day, Dale Earnhardt Sr. won on July 7. Eleven years later, Dale Earnhardt Jr. triumphed at Daytona, a cathartic win that came less than five months after his father lost his life during a last-lap crash in the 2001 Daytona 500.

1: The number of July 7 Cup races at Daytona that have been won by a driver not named Earnhardt. On July 7, 2007, Jamie McMurray took the checkered flag .005 seconds ahead of Kyle Busch, who earlier that day had won a rain-delayed Nationwide Series race at the 2.5-mile superspeedway. Saturday's Coke Zero 400 will be the fourth Daytona Cup race held on July 7.
