MLB roundup: Red Sox-Royals game postponed

Friday's game between the Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park was postponed.

No makeup date has been announced.

The city of Boston is in lockdown as authorities search for the missing Boston Marathon bombing suspect.

The Rangers announced the left-hander is likely to miss several months after opting for surgery to alleviate soreness in his lower back. Harrison, who won 18 games in 2012, has a herniated disk in his back. Harrison was 0-2 with an 8.44 ERA in 2013.

He slammed two home runs on April 1 in the victory over the Miami Marlins. The game-worn jersey was sold for more than $13,000.

"They just take my jersey away from me and don't ask if I want it or anything!" Harper wrote on Twitter on Thursday. "First opening day! Jersey gone!"
