Mike Fiers fans eight in win over Miami
Brewers pitcher Mike Fiers struck out eight over five scoreless innings for the win Thursday night at home against the Marlins, improving to 6-2 on the year. He allowed three hits and three walks in 82 pitches, 52 of which were strikes.
Over his last three starts covering 21 2/3 innings, Fiers has allowed five earned runs. He owns a 1.86 ERA and a 0.86 WHIP over 53 1/3 innings of work. He will make his next scheduled start Wednesday at St. Louis.
