Maualuga signs 2-year deal to return to Bengals
Linebacker Rey Maualuga re-signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. It's a two-year, $6.5 million contract, according to multiple reports.
The fifth-year player was an unrestricted free agent after finishing second on the team with 152 tackles in 2012. The 2009 second-round pick has started 61 of 62 career games, and has 428 tackles over the past four seasons.
"Rey has been a fine young player for us, and he continues to grow on and off the field," said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. "He is passionate about becoming a great player, and we're excited to have him back as we work with these signings to keep our defense together."
