Matt Lloyd's monster week was rewarded.

The sophomore utility player was named the Big Ten's Player of the Week for the first time in his career, the conference announced Monday. Lloyd, both an infielder and a pitcher, transferred to IU after starting his career at the JUCO level.

Lloyd hit .643 for the week with nine hits, four homers, two doubles, 10 RBI and six runs scored. He also made three relief appearances with two saves. Along the way, the Hoosiers went 4-0.

Coupled with Alex Krupa's Player of the Week nod from the prior week, Indiana earned back-to-back player of the week accolades from the conference for the first time since around this time in 2014.

Indiana (13-8-1) will take on Evansville at 6:05 p.m. Tuesday at Bart Kaufman Field.
