Lions sign former rugby star to practice squad

The Detroit Lions signed rugby star Carlin Isles to the practice squad.

He's been called "the fastest man in rugby."

The Lions placed tight end Dorin Dickerson on injured reserve with a concussion.

They promoted tight end Matt Veldman from the practice squad to the active roster.

Isles was an All-American sprinter in the 60-meter dash at Ashland. He's run the 100 meters in 10.24 seconds with a 40-yard dash under 4.3 seconds.
