John Danks tosses quality start against Cleveland

White Sox pitcher John Danks turned in a quality start Thursday against the Indians.

Danks allowed two runs on five hits over six innings. He struck out five and walked two during the outing. Danks was tagged for a run early. Michael Bourn led off the game with a triple, and was driven home on a ground out. Danks would settle in at that point, keeping the Indians off the board for the next four innings. Danks allowed his second run in the sixth inning. He allowed a single to Jose Ramirez to lead off the inning. Ramirez would steal second, and advance to third on a ground out. He would score on a two-out single by Jason Kipnis.

With the loss, Danks dropped to 9-9. He’ll take on the Twins in his next start.
