Indians' Bourn goes on DL

The Cleveland Indians placed outfielder Michael Bourn on the 15-day disabled list Wednesday with a lacerated right finger.

The move is retroactive to April 15.

Bourn injured the finger sliding headfirst into first base in the eighth inning of Sunday's game against the White Sox when Chicago left-hander Matt Thornton stepped on him. Bourne received five stitches.

The 30-year-old Bourn is hitting .333 (14 fof 45) with two homers and two RBI in 10 games. He's also tied for 10th in the American League in extra-base hits with seven.

In other roster move, the Indians recalled right-hander Corey Kluber from Class AAA Columbus.

Kluber had two starts for Columbus and was 1-1. He was with the Indians from April 10 to April 12 before being sent to the minors.
