Heat's James, Wade, Allen to sit out Friday

With Miami facing the lowly Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night, the Heat have decided to rest LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen.

The team announced Friday that the three key players will not play in the road game against the Hornets. James (hamstring) and Wade (ankle) have missed the past two games and Allen (ankle) will now join them on the bench.

Allen sprained an ankle in Miami's loss to New York on Tuesday night when he fell over a cameraman in the fourth quarter

Heat guard Mario Chalmers is expected to be a game-time decision. He has missed the past three games swith an ankle injury but participated in the team's morning shootaround on Friday.

James and Chalmers were able to practice on Thursday, but Wade and Allen were limited to stretching.

Miami, which has locked up the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the playoffs, continues to hold the NBA's best record at 58-16. Charlotte has the worst at 18-57.

The Heat play at home against Philadelphia on Saturday.
