Heat's James practices, unlikely to miss game

Miami standout LeBron James was expected to play Friday night against the Chicago Bulls despite saying after a morning practice that his bruised right knee needs additional treatment.

James missed practice on Thursday while underdoing treatment for an injury that flared up after Wednesday's overtime win over Dallas.

"It's been better," James told ESPN.com.

James managed to complete Friday's shootaround.

"He's had a couple of knick-knack injuries that would probably be bigger injuries for other people the way he's been hit," Heat coach EriK Spoelstra said, according to ESPN.com. "But because he's so sturdy and strong, he's been able to absorb that kind of contact."

James has battled knee and shoulder problems this season while logging heavy minutes.
