Grizzlies' Zach Randolph suspended for Game 7 vs. Thunder

The Memphis Grizzlies suffered a major blow when the NBA announced Friday it suspended Zach Randolph for a deciding Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday.

Randolph was suspended one game without pay for punching Thunder center Steven Adams in the jaw with 6:42 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Grizzlies' 104-84 loss in Game 6 in Memphis on Thursday. Randolph has averaged team-bests of 18.2 points and 8.7 rebounds versus the Thunder.

Memphis could turn to reserve power forwards James Johnson, Ed Davis and Jon Leuer to make up for Randolph's absence. The winner of Memphis-Oklahoma City will play the winner of the Los Angeles Clippers-Golden State Warriors series in the second round.
