Glen Perkins shut down with arm issue

Twins reliever Glen Perkins has been shut down due to a forearm strain and nerve irritation, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The news is actually somewhat positive for Perkins. His throwing elbow and UCL have no damage at this time, and he's expected to be ready for Spring Training. Perkins finished the year with a 3.65 ERA over 61 2/3 innings.
