Giants Suffer 34-26 Defeat Against Eagles
Eli Manning had a huge day throwing the ball, but it wasn't enough to avoid a loss for the Giants against the Eagles, 34-26, at home.
Manning had a stellar game with 28 completions out of 53 attempts for 429 yards passing, one touchdown and one pick. Mark Sanchez finished 23 for 36 with 292 yards passing, two touchdowns and one pick for the Eagles.
Andre Williams gained 43 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown in addition to three receptions for 19 yards. Odell Beckham Jr. was a highlight, catching 12 passes for 185 yards while adding a touchdown.
The New York defense allowed 164 yards rushing and 292 passing. They manhandled Sanchez with four sacks.
Finally, Josh Brown was perfect, connecting on all four of his field goal attempts.
Eagles wide receiver Jordan Matthews could not be contained, putting up 105 receiving yards and one touchdown. Running back LeSean McCoy also put together a noteworthy performance with 99 rushing yards and 15 receiving.
