Gardner, Gallon post big numbers in Michigan win

Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner and wide receiver Jeremy Gallon formed a record-smashing duo on Saturday in the Wolverines' 63-47 win over Indiana in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Gardner set a school total offense record with 584 yards, passing for 503 and running for 81. He also rushed for three touchdowns and threw for two.

Gallon had 14 catches and set a school and Big Ten record with 369 receiving yards. His yardage total was the second best in FBS history behind the 405 yards by Troy Edwards of Louisiana Tech against Nebraska in 1998. Gallon also scored two touchdowns.

Michigan set a school record with 751 yards of total offense, and the two teams combined for a whopping 1,335 yards.

Indiana matched scores with Michigan, with the Hoosiers pulling to 49-47 with 12:15 left, but the Wolverines scored the final two touchdowns to secure the Big Ten victory.
