Fresh Off UFC on Fox 8 Victory, Jorge Masvidal Agrees to Fight Rustam Khabilov in November

TUF 21 Finale Fighter Bonuses: Thompson, Masvidal KOs Top the List

Just a couple days removed from his last fight, Jorge Masvidal already has his next bout lined up.

Masvidal will meet Rustam Khabilov, likely on Nov. 6 on Fox Sports 1, according to a UFC Tonight report on Tuesday.

UFC president Dana White has stated that Nov. 6 is the target date for the promotion’s next UFC Fight for the Troops event. It would be the promotion's third such event, which is typically used as a fundraiser for charities that benefit members of the military and their families.

Masvidal (25-7) is fresh off of his second-round victory over Michael Chiesa at Saturday’s UFC on Fox 8 event in Seattle. The bout was his sophomore effort in the Octagon and he has won both.

Masvidal defeated Tim Means in his promotional debut in February. He was one of the fighters ported over to the UFC following Strikeforce’s closure.

Having fought the majority of his career under the M-1 banner, Khabilov (16-1), like Masvidal, is also 2-0 in the Octagon.

He debuted at the TUF 16 Finale in December, where he knocked out Vinc Pichel. Khabilov followed that with a TKO victory over Yancy Medeiros at UFC 159 in April.
