Eagles DE Babin fined for roughing Weeden

Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jason Babin was fined $15,750 for roughing Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden in last Sunday's season opener, according to Philly.com.

Babin was fined for "unnecessarily" driving Weeden into the ground, even though no penalty was called on the play.

He received a fine on a similar play last year for roughing the passer.

Babin has been outspoken about how the league fines players.

"I don't think they like the way I play at all," Babin said after last October's incident. "I'm pretty sure they get nervous every time because they know I'm throwing and someone gets hurt. But that's what got me paid, that's what got me where I am today. I'm not going to change."
