Duke's Marshall Plumlee to miss 3-4 months

Marshall Plumlee has more foot injuries than starts in his two-year tenure at Duke. The redshirt freshman will undergo surgery on his left foot and be sidelined at least three months, coach Mike Krzyzewski said.

Plumlee, a 6-foot-11 redshirt freshman center and the younger brother of Miles and Mason Plumlee, scored two points all of last season. He missed nine games with a fractured left foot in 2012-13.

"Marshall was having a very good preseason before suffering the injury last year," Krzyzewski said in a statement. "The injury set him back, but we expect him to make a full recovery and be a key contributor for us next season."
