Donald Driver says teams have called about him

Retired Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver attracted more than 9,000 fans to his sixth annual charity softball game in Grand Chute, Wis., on Saturday.

Now that he’s retired from the team, he’s no less popular in Wisconsin, that is for sure. And apparently Driver still has some interest from around the NFL. The 38-year-old who played his entire 14-year career in Green Bay says other teams have contacted him about still playing, according to Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. How serious those inquiries were is not known.

But Driver retired after this past season because he wanted to complete his career with just one team and says he would return to the league for only one team.

"I'd be in shape,” Driver said if the Packers happened to call him during the middle of the season.

We’ll have to see if the need arises this season.
