Dodgers' Kershaw scheduled to pitch Sunday

Despite reports that he might not pitch again this season because of a hip injury, Dodgers left-hander Clayton Kershaw was scheduled to start Sunday night's game against the Reds.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly initially had named Aaron Harang to start Sunday's game in Kershaw's place, but Kershaw is now expected to pitch after throwing a 20-pitch bullpen session on Friday and going through his normal routine on Saturday.

Kershaw has not commented about the injury, and there has been no report from the team about whether he will require surgery.

Kershaw is 12-9 with a 2.70 earned-run average but he has not pitched since Sept. 11 because of the impingement in his hip.
