Dan Henderson vs. Vitor Belfort 3 Headlines UFC Return to Brazil in November

Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort will fight for a third time in the UFC Fight Night 77 main event on Nov. 7 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The UFC officially announced the trilogy during the UFC 190 post-fight press conference on Saturday, but not before Henderson had some fun about his next fight on Twitter.

“We’re coming back to Brazil on Nov. 7 in Sao Paulo with a five-round main event between Dan Henderson and Vitor Belfort. We’ll build the card from there,” said Dana White during the UFC 190 post-fight press conference.

The two fighting legends have fought twice before with each coming away with a win.

They first fought at PRIDE 32 in October 2006 where Henderson defeated Belfort by unanimous decision at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Belfort tested positive for the banned substance 4-hydroxytestosterone following the fight.

The two fought again seven years later at UFC Fight Night 32 in November 2013. Belfort knocked Henderson out with a head kick in 77 seconds. Both fighters were on the controversial testosterone replacement therapy at the time.

Neither fighter has looked in top form in their fights since TRT was banned in mixed martial arts in February 2014, which makes their third meeting extremely interesting.
