Crosby returns to Penguins practice

The Pittsburgh Penguins announced Monday that star center Sidney Crosby returned to the ice for the first time since breaking his jaw March 30 against the New York Islanders.

The team released a photo of Crosby via Instagram practicing with a jaw guard attached to his helmet. He skated with injured Penguins Paul Martin and James Neal before practice.

There is no timetable set on when Crosby will be activated for a game. Even though he has been out for more than two weeks, he still owns a four-point lead over Tampa Bay Lightning center Steven Stamkos for the league lead.

Crosby has 56 points (15 goals, 41 assists) this season.
